Unit description
Develops knowledge of service delivery contexts and models including identification of goals and intervention approaches for children with speech sound and/or developmental language disorders and/or literacy disorders. Practices and applies the design, implementation, justification and evaluation of speech and language intervention for children using principles of evidence-based practice and family centred practice at novice-level.

- Contexts for speech and language intervention with children, including identifying appropriate goals and rationales, and evaluation of outcomes using functional approaches and measures
- Phonological intervention approaches
- Motor speech intervention approaches
- Language intervention approaches (preschool)
- Language intervention approaches (school aged)
- Literacy intervention approaches
Learning outcomes
