Unit description
Provides an opportunity for students to accumulate required work experience, and apply their knowledge and understanding of the principles of Exercise and Sport Science as they relate to apparently healthy individuals. Students must complete their practicum experience in an exercise science related discipline for the purpose of attaining competency in exercise assessment, prescription and delivery. This unit fulfils a major component of the practicum requirements that must be successfully completed to be an Exercise Scientist as outlined by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

- Professional conduct, ethical practice, and exercise science scope of practice
- Evidenced-based practice and clinical reasoning
- Group exercise programming and instruction including Telehealth
- Health beyond exercise: communication, coaching and behaviour change
- Exercise assessment, prescription, and delivery: putting it all together
Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | |

4 | practice in accordance with ethically relevant policies, legislation and regulations that apply to exercise science settings including privacy, consent and record keeping |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
