Unit description
Engages students in 400 hours of supervised social work practice in a human service organisation developing professional skills, knowledge and values in line with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) practice standards for social work. Transfers learning gained from other units to practice in a real organisation.

| 3 | critically analyse and reflect on the organisation, its location within wider social systems, and its relationship with other organisations, such as auspicing bodies and funding agencies and implications for the role of social work and delivery of social work services to clients |
| 4 | critically analyse the ways in which a social work theory is applied and social work service is provided within the organisation to respond to client needs and enhance social justice and draw on this to inform practice |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
