Unit description
Introduces students to the technical and creative processes of event operations. A problem based learning approach is used to teach students how to assess an event operations plan.
Unit content
Topic 1: Exploring the process and practicalities of staging events
Topic 2: Logistical and risk issues faced by event managers
Topic 3: Business ethics and social responsibility in events
Topic 4: The role of technology in event operations and marketing
Topic 5: Volunteer and community management
Topic 6: Resource supply and budgets in event operations
