“As an international student with a teaching background, I enrolled in a Master of Teaching to broaden my horizon. I think it’s the right path for my final destination: not only working as a teacher in Australia but also getting that international experience for when I’m back home in Colombia.”

How to apply

International students can search the variety of courses available to those wanting to apply for a visa to study in Australia, including English language Study abroad programs. We encourage everyone to explore our locations, the tailored student support we provide, International scholarships and our list of Education Agents who you may need to contact for assistance with application, depending on where you’re travelling from.

Click on any course in our International courses list to see the comprehensive course information including an overview of what you will learn, availability, course structure, entry requirements, English language requirements and fees. Our course pages also include details around any placements which may be required, professional recognition or accreditation and career opportunities upon graduation.

See the key dates for International application page for information on start dates and application closing dates. Southern Cross accepts direct applications online and through an education agent, however this will be dependent on your home country so check the list of countries that are required to apply through an Education Agent If you are able to apply direct, look for the Apply Online button under International students in the How to apply tab on the course information page.

Once submitted, your application will be acknowledged by Southern Cross or an approved Education Agent (depending on your path to application). If you are successful, detailed information will be provided to help you accept your offer. If unsuccessful, we may offer an alternative pathway to help get you closer to undertaking your future studies.
