With a background in law and marketing,Kate is currently enrolled in the PhD program through the Centre for Children and Young People, in the School of Education at SCU. Her doctoral studies examine how children may participate as citizens through their consumption choices (beyond an economic contribution). More specifically, she is interested in understanding how children can participate in social and environmental discourses through ethical consumption. She is passionate about marketing and getting students to think about the theories behind why they perform the way they do as consumers (drawing from their immense experience as consumers in our society). |
