Lady Elliot Island
Lady Elliot Island is a pristine coral cay at the southern tip of the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. Located within a highly protected Green Zone, the island is a sanctuary for more than 1,200 species of marine life, including manta rays, turtles and vibrant coral reefs - making it one of the reef’s most spectacular and untouched destinations.
Home to the family-run Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, the island has been operated by Peter Gash and partners since 2005 under lease from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. With a strong focus on sustainability and renewable energy, guests are invited to be part of protecting this remarkable environment by committing to the island’s Sustainability Pledge.
