My name is Tyrone Carlin and I’m Vice Chancellor of Southern Cross University.

It’s a matter of considerable pride for me, on behalf of the university community, to acknowledge the ongoing indigenous custodianship of the wonderful lands upon which our campuses are built.

It’s a real pleasure to be able to welcome you to your studies. This is a really exciting time. It’s a great time to explore the range of opportunities that are available to you at the university, many of which you might not have imagined.

So, I encourage you to reach out, to talk to others, to get to know staff and your fellow students, and above all, if there are circumstances where you feel as though you need some help or advice, reach out to us sooner rather than later and that can often make all the difference.
