I have a range of teaching, research and clinical interests. I am trained in clinical and neuropsychology with 25 years experience in assessing and treating children, adolescents and older adults. I was the previous Head of Psychology at Sydney Children's Hospital so work with the psychological aspects of medical illness. I have conducted neuropsychological assessments on children and adults who have suffered concussions, stroke or brain tumours, or are dealing with dementia. My current teaching includes undergraduate units in Psychological Assessment and Abnormal Psychology, and I supervise a wide range of Honours and PhD projects in applied and lab-based psychological and psychophysiological research. Consulting on community-based research projects and sharing knowledge with schools and other professional organisations through public speaking engagements are a key interest. Working with athletes to improve performance or cope with challenges such as anxiety, and helping adolescents and adults dealing with parenting or relationship issues are also areas of expertise.
