Starting as Nursing student in Summer Term? Join us on-campus on Monday 12 January for Orientation

Welcome to Summer Term Orientation!

If you're a commencing Summer Term Nursing student, it's essential to attend your on-campus orientation on Monday 12th January, 2026. (This on-campus day is for new Nursing students only.)

Orientation day will give you the tools to prepare yourself for studying nursing, allow you to meet your faculty staff and classmates, and welcome you to studying at SCU.

You'll attend:

A welcome check-in where you will meet other new students
Information sessions to tell you all about your course
Work placement / WIL information session
Enjoy the free Welcome Lunch!
Lastly have fun at the 'Water Safety' activity at the beach (free transport provided)

Note: Lismore Nursing students will be joining with the Gold Coast on-campus orientation, free transport will be provided there and back from Lismore campus (see below).

Where to check-in for Nursing Orientation on Monday 12th January, 2026:

Gold Coast students - 9am QLD time at the Gold Coast campus White Marquee
Lismore students - Meet at 8.45am NSW time in the Lismore campus Goodman Plaza (to catch bus to Gold Coast campus)
Coffs Harbour students - 10am NSW time in front of D Theatre

Location: Gold Coast Airport, Terminal Dr, Bilinga QLD

Gold Coast Campus

You will find us in the centre of the campus. Follow the signs, you won't be able to miss us!

Location: Hogbin Dr, Coffs Harbour NSW 2450

You can find us in the gathering space. Follow the signs on campus, you won't be able to miss us!

Where to find us

Location: Goodman Plaza, Southern Cross University, Lismore Campus, Military Rd, East Lismore NSW 2480

Lismore Campus

You will find us in the centre of the campus, outside the Student Centre and Library. Follow the signs, you won't be able to miss us! We will then all go on the bus together, to Gold Coast for on-campus orientation.
