LISMORE CAMPUS TO HOST SATURDAY'S GRADUATIONS

More than 488 students of Southern Cross University will receive official acknowledgment of their qualifications at two Graduation Ceremonies to be held at the Lismore campus this Saturday, 22 September. The 202 graduands able to attend the ceremony will be joined by 749 family members and guests.

Degrees and other Awards will be conferred in person or granted in absentia by the Chancellor, Dr. Lionel Phelps, at 9.00am and 11.30am ceremonies preceded by formal academic processions. The graduates will be addressed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Rickard, and by two distinguished Occasional Speakers, Professor John Niland, Vice-Chancellor of The University of New South Wales, and Professor Robyn Williams, the distinguished ABC science journalist.

As is customary, the Isabella A Cappella choral ensemble, comprised of SCU graduates and current students, will provide musical interludes at each of the ceremonies. The group recently undertook an extensive tour of Japan.

By the end of the graduations, a total of 2215 graduates will have joined the Southern Cross University alumni community this year.
