Up to 800 Year 12 students from High Schools between Grafton and the NSW-Queensland border will attend the far north coast's annual Tertiary Information Day at Southern Cross University next Tuesday, 31 July.
To be held at SCU's Gymnasium (P Block) between 9.30am and 2.30pm, the day will feature exhibition stands and expert advisers from most Universities in NSW and Queensland, TAFE, private educational providers, the Police Service, Centrelink and the Department of Education.
Organised by the Summerland Careers Advisers Association it provides an ideal opportunity for students to access information about their future career choices, according to Lismore High School's Bill Goldie who is the Association's President.
"At this all-important time in their career consideration, the final year students will be offered a great diversity of valuable study and career advice," Mr. Goldie said. He added that members of the public were also welcome to attend the day.
"Parents are particularly invited to come with their children and talk to the many representatives about courses and other matters relating to life after the HSC," Mr Goldie said.
For more information please contact Mr. Bill Goldie on 66 215185.
Media coverage of the day is welcomed.
