Local and regional organisations and institutions that might currently or in the future seek University graduates for employment will attend a day-long Careers Fair at Southern Cross University's Lismore campus on Friday, 9 March.

The inaugural Careers Fair will enable students who are in the final stages of their degree courses to obtain current information relating to employment opportunities and workplace practices.

"It will give our students an opportunity to learn first-hand about possible career options in the Northern Rivers and further afield as well as providing industry representatives and business people with a chance to assess potential employees," according to SCU's Careers Adviser, Christine Holmes.

The Careers Fair will run from 10.30am-3.30pm in the Gymnasium, Building P, and information sessions are scheduled every 20 minutes in room P.129.Expressions of interest from local firms and organisations are still being welcomed and members of the public are also invited to attend.
