169 STUDENTS TO GRADUATE AT COFFS HARBOUR THIS SATURDAY

A total of 169 awards from Southern Cross University will be conferred in person, or granted in absentia, by the Chancellor, Dr. Lionel Phelps, at the Graduation ceremony to be held in the D Block Lecture Theatre on SCU's Coffs Harbour Campus this Saturday, 9 March.

101 Graduands (graduates-to-be) have confirmed their attendance at the Ceremony, which will commence at 10.30am with a formal academic procession.

Some 384 family members and friends of the graduating students will also attend and there will be 31 official guests, including the Occasional Speaker, Professor Peter Swannell, Vice-Chancellor, University of Southern Queensland, who will address the assembly after the Degrees and Awards have been presented.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Rickard, will also address the graduands, congratulating them on their success and welcoming their guests to the Campus.

Musical interludes will be performed by the Coffs Harbour Community A Cappella Choir 'Souled Out', conducted by Nicola Fraser. The Graduate Speaker, Peter Simon Skinner, will express the graduates' customary vote of thanks to those who supported them during their studies.
