Anyone interested in starting a university course can beat the end-of-year rush and apply for a place in a range of Southern Cross University courses open for mid-year intake.
An information session outlining all the courses available will be held at the Lismore campus on Monday, May 23, at Campus Central, from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Southern Cross University has allocated a number of places specifically for mid-year enrolment to provide greater flexibility for prospective students. It will also be running a special mid-year orientation program.
Admissions manager Mr Peter Barnard said starting a university course mid-year was an attractive option for many people.
He said Southern Cross University saved places for people who couldn't enrol at the start of the year because of work commitments, family responsibilities or completing other studies.
The closing date for enrolments through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) is June 3. Applications for external study can be made direct to the University.
The Lismore information session will include information on courses including: arts, contemporary music, business, counselling, environmental science, exercise science and nutrition, forestry, human movement science, Indigenous studies, information technology, law, management and professional studies, marine science, media, natural and complementary medicine, social science, tourism and hospitality management and visual arts.
There will also be information on enrolment and admissions, including advice on recognition of previous qualifications and professional experience.
The Lismore session will be held on Monday, May 23, from 7pm to 8.30pm at Campus Central. Tea and coffee will be available.
An information session will also be held at the Tweed Gold Coast campus on Thursday, May 26.
