As ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) and OP (Overall Position) results are released around the country, Southern Cross University is offering a series of University Options Days aimed at helping would-be students learn more about the range of study options and career paths open to them.

The University Option Days will be held at the Coffs Harbour and Lismore campuses on Thursday, December 16, and at the Gold Coast campus on Saturday, December 18.

Southern Cross University staff will be on hand at each day to provide assistance and advice on alternative pathways and university preparation programs, course options, fees, admissions, change of preference deadlines, offer rounds and other specific information regarding studying with SCU in 2011.

The University is also running hotlines in each region for students who are unable to make it in person to the Options Days.

Lucinda Hutchinson, Southern Cross University student recruitment officer for the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads, said she was looking forward to meeting students on the day.

“The University Options Days are a great opportunity for students to explore their tertiary study choices,” said Ms Hutchinson.

“This time of year can be confusing for young people, so the purpose of these days is to offer support and help them clarify what direction they would like to go in.

“We're encouraging anyone with questions about university, or anyone who would just like to find out more information to come along and meet us on the day.”
