Helping parents to help navigate their child’s journey from high school to uni

What do ATAR, STAR, Head-Start and Access have in common? They are all pathways for school leavers to gain a place to study at Southern Cross University.

To help parents gather useful insights into their child’s journey from high school to university and understand the process to get into university, SCU is holding a Year 12 Parents’ Information Evening on Thursday September 17, starting at 5.30pm at the Lismore campus. Entry is free.

“There will be plenty of time for parents to ask questions and seek the information to make the transition a smooth as possible for both you and your child,” said SCU student recruitment officer Nicole Darth, who is one of the presenters.

“Current SCU students, from a range of degrees, will talk about their experience of going from high school to uni, what life on campus is like, getting part-time work to support themselves through uni, and finding somewhere to live.”
