Local entrepreneurs, students and the wider community can experience two free and interactive sessions with globally-recognised entrepreneurial educator, Dr Peter Kelly on Wednesday February 7.

The Enterprise Lab at Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus, in association with Sydney School for Entrepreneurship, will host Dr Kelly for the insightful and practical sessions on Design of Entrepreneurial Education and Effective Networking Skills.

The first session on Design of Entrepreneurial Education will be held from 7.45am to 9am (AEDT), and the second session on Effective Networking Skills will be held from 9.15am to 10.30am (AEDT) as part of the Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (SSE) Speaker Series.

Both sessions will feature a keynote address from Dr Kelly, followed by a moderated Q&A and networking opportunities. The sessions are open to the public and interest for each session is to be registered separately.

“It’s great to be getting out to regional NSW and seeing the local entrepreneurs who are building sustainable businesses without needing the bright lights of a major city. I have already heard about many interesting creative products coming out of the region,” Dr Kelly said.

“The two sessions will provide insights into the latest strategies used in entrepreneurial education and a practical guide to the craft of effectively networking.”

Dr Peter Kelly completed his Doctorate in entrepreneurship at London Business School and his MBA at University of Notre Dame, USA.

Before his appointment as Professor at the newly-established Aalto University in Finland, Dr Kelly was Executive Director of the Helsinki School of Creative Entrepreneurship and has been involved with Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship since its conception.

The talks will be delivered in conjunction with the Sydney School of Entrepreneurship, of which Southern Cross University is a member partner.

Last year, five Southern Cross University students completed the inaugural Sydney School of Entrepreneurship course, ‘The Navigator’. Applications for the next Navigator course are now open until February 4.
