University update for staff, students and community

With recovery efforts underway in Lismore and current evacuations in surrounding regions, Southern Cross University has offered a package of services to staff, especially those directly-impacted. The University is also talking with local schools and business about how they can partner to fast-track an operational return.

Meanwhile the recovery centre at Lismore campus is housing more than 800 displaced community members.

Southern Cross University students who have scheduled placements during Term 1/Session 1 can keep up to date with any current announcements through their Blackboard learning portal. Any students with placements planned in the flood-affected Northern NSW region are being contacted directly to organise arrangements.
