Southern Cross University will livestream a forum which will explore a range of views about the forthcoming Referendum on a Voice to Parliament.
The event – Respectful Conversation about the Referendum – will be held from 5.30pm, Wednesday 4 October and feature a number of leaders and experts, including:
- Uncle Herb Roberts, Gnibi Elder-in-Residence, Widjabul Wiyabal Elder and Chair of the SCU Elders Council
- Uncle Des Williams, Gnibi Elder and long-time Chairperson of the Tweed Byron Local Aboriginal Land Council and former ATSIC Commissioner.
- Associate Professor Stuart Barlo, Dean of Gnibi College
- Dr Kelly Menzel, Associate Dean Education, Gnibi College
- Associate Professor Alison Holland, Department of History at Macquarie University, who is currently writing a history of ATSIC
- Professor Andrew Rose, Chair of Academic Board.
