Re-imagining Teacher Education
In mid-2023, Southern Cross University and Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools signed a significant research agreement.
The agreement supports the Diocese goal to create world-class learning environments for students. Along with the University’s goal to prepare student teachers in ways which are unrivalled nationally.
The Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools has indicated it will be looking at course graduates for employment in its network of 45 vibrant, dynamic schools, supported by 2500 staff and serving 18,000 students.
“We expect this new approach will produce graduates who are highly distinctive. It supports our aspiration to build a strong workforce for the future and learning environments which are genuinely world class.”
