Build your business fundamentals through real-world projects and explore how business impacts communities and economies around the world. In your final module, you’ll begin mapping your global journey - researching international business landscapes and preparing for what’s ahead. (Tip: it might be time to apply for that passport!)

Year 2

Deep dive, global incubator and mentor link

Take your learning global with the opportunity to study abroad and gain credit towards your degree. Choose from a curated list of partner universities in destinations like Japan, the UK, or the USA - where you’ll explore how international markets operate, all while earning credit toward your degree.

At Southern Cross University, industry immersion begins from the first day of your degree. This isn’t just about internships — it’s about solving real business challenges as part of your coursework. One of our flagship features, the Small Biz Solutions Lab, gives you a "boardroom experience" where you work as a consultant for local businesses, applying your learning to real-world problems.

Our business leadership accelerator program goes beyond traditional management coursework by building leadership skills through hands-on experiences. You’ll engage in simulations, pitch competitions, and case studies that teach you to lead under pressure. Additionally, our mentor link program pairs you with senior business leaders, providing invaluable market insights and the context you need to apply your studies to real business scenarios.

In our applied business strategy program, students engage in decision-making exercises that closely mimic the experience of an MBA. Unlike traditional programs that isolate business functions, we teach you how to integrate all areas of business — from finance and marketing to operations and strategy — to drive success. This approach equips you with the ability to make high-level decisions that balance all aspects of business.

Rather than following the standard model of industry placements, Southern Cross University offers the Global Incubator, where students tackle cross-border business challenges. This innovative program allows you to gain international experience while solving real-world problems.
