The campus is set on acres of lush rainforest that includes a koala hospital, multi-million-dollar veterinary science precinct, state-of-the-art engineering and environmental science facilities, specialist health labs and simulated hospital wards. This dynamic discipline is involved in every aspect of our lives, from rockets and robotics, health and wellbeing, roads and bridges, to coastal protection, flood mitigation and agriculture systems. With a strong pathway to a rewarding career, veterinary professionals are in high demand across Australia. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of real‑world settings, including veterinary clinics, farms, and wildlife hospitals, building the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive in this essential and impactful profession.
This panel session is also running at 1:00pm. You can also book into one of four Veterinary Sciences tour experiences throughout the day (9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, and 12:30pm).
Learn where a nursing qualification can take you. Bringing theory and practice together through service-based learning in local communities and training in our state‑of‑the‑art laboratories. In this session, you’ll discover how our nursing degrees prepare you for a meaningful career where nurses are often the first point of care and make a positive difference in people’s lives every day.

Unlock the secrets of our world with a science degree at Southern Cross University. Explore agriculture, environment or marine studies, while gaining hands‑on, job‑ready experience using specialised tools such as drones and GIS technology.

If you want to study one step at a time, are looking for a stand-alone qualification, or if you don’t have a suitable qualification for direct entry into a degree, a Diploma could be the perfect fit.

This interactive art session offers the opportunity to explore, participate, create and experience the unique arts and culture of First Nations people. Through hands-on art practices, participants will learn about story, songlines and cultural protocols connected to our cultural obligations.

Visit an observational bee hive and sample honey from around the world. Get up close and personal with varroa mites and other bee pests under the stereomicroscope.

Our Northern Rivers, Lismore campus
Proudly embedded in our local community, our Northern Rivers, Lismore campus is set within 75 hectares of lush, sub-tropical grounds, landscaped gardens and rainforest walkways. The campus is five minutes from the centre of Lismore, just 30 minutes from Byron Bay, and is on the doorstep of magnificent natural environments that contain a variety of native wildlife and plant species.

By entering the ‘Win an Apple MacBook Neo’ (Competition), you (the Entrant) agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. All information on ‘how to enter’ forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
2. By submitting an entry into the Competition, you warrant that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
3. The Promoter is Southern Cross University (ABN 41 995 651 524; CRICOS Provider: 01241G) a body corporate incorporated under the Southern Cross University Act 1993 (NSW), of Military Road, East Lismore, NSW 2480, Australia P: 1800 72 4357 (the “University”).
4. The Competition commences on Friday 11 April 2026 at 9am (AEST) and will continue until Sunday 23 August 2026 at 2pm (AEST) (the “Competition Period”).
Eligibility
5. Entry is open to all members of the general public that attend a University campus at Southern Cross University Open Day (Eligible Entrants).
6. Employees and their immediate families of the University are not eligible to enter the Competition.
7. Incomplete, illegible or incorrect entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, will not be eligible to win.
8. The University reserves the right to verify entries and may disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
How to enter
9. To enter, Eligible Entrants must attend one of three on-campus Southern Cross University Open Days at either Coffs Harbour (9 August 2026), Lismore (16 August 2026), or Gold Coast (23 August 2026), be registered as an event attendee and complete the digital check-in on the campus between the hours of 9 am and 1.45 pm. Check-in completes all fields of the entry form.
10. Eligible entrants may enter the Competition only once.
You agree and acknowledge
By entering into the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that:

The University is collecting your personal information for the purpose of participation in the Competition and may use your entry and your personal information, including first name, surname, phone, email, postcode, what best describes you, what are you interested in studying, where are you interested in studying and which Open Day are you attending (whether or not it wins a prize) for the University’s promotional purposes. The University may also send you information and marketing communications. You may request to not receive direct marketing from the University at any time. You do not have to provide your personal information but will not be able to enter the Competition if you do not.
12. We will otherwise treat information you provide confidentially and will not use or disclose your personal information for another purpose without your consent unless we are required to do so by law. To access or update your personal information please contact the University’s Future Students Team at futurestudy@scu.edu.au.
13. The University will keep your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Management Plan. Information on how the University manages personal information can be found at www.scu.edu.au/privacy or contact the Privacy Officer at privacy@scu.edu.au.
14. The University accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Competition Period. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. The University is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.
Winning the prize
15. The prize is one of three Apple 13-inch MacBook Neos (Indigo, 512GB storage, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID), valued at $1,097 each. One prize will be awarded per campus location (online Open Day is excluded).
16. The winning entries will be drawn on the respective day at 2pm, all eligible entries received will be placed into a pool, and one entry will be drawn at random to determine the winner. Incomplete, illegible, or unverifiable forms may be excluded from the draw.
17. The winner will be notified immediately if present, or via text and call if not present. If the prize is unclaimed within 48 hours a prize re-draw will be conducted at 9am on the following Friday of the event at the same place as the original draw. The initial winner will be included in the prize draw. The new winner will be contacted by text and call. If the prize is unclaimed by 12 September, the prize will be forfeited.
18. The winner at each campus will be asked to have a photo and/or video taken for promotional use by Southern Cross University on social media and web channels (with consent). Media participation is not a condition of winning.
19. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
20. In all matters, all decisions of the University will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
