Delegations Framework
On 1 August 2014, the University Council approved a new Delegations Framework for SCU. The Delegations Framework consists of:
- the Delegations Rule and Delegations Schedules;
- Council approved University Rules and Policy;
- and any other document which Council may approve from time to time which records a Council resolution to delegate authority.
Delegations must be exercised within the framework of Southern Cross University's Delegations Rule, Code of Conduct, Rules, Policy, Procedures and any external legislative requirements. In the event of any inconsistency between the contents of the Delegations Rule/Schedules, and the contents of any other SCU Rule, Policy or Procedure, the Delegations Rule prevails.
The Delegations Framework replaces the previous Delegations Register (last approved April 2014, rescinded 1 August 2014). It is focused primarily on matters which relate to financial transactions or to contractual or legislated arrangements with staff, students, and persons and organisations outside the University. It reflects the University's organisational and governance structure and forms an integral part of the University's Governance Framework.
