At home in the arts

Cecile Knight is a vital piece of the Gold Coast’s cultural scene, working as an Exhibitions Officer at the HOTA (Home Of The Arts). With exhibitions often planned years in advance, Cecile works closely with planners, curators, engineers, painters, and artists to execute some of the region’s most prominent exhibitions.

Cecile credits her success in this role to the people she’s met along the way, including her time at Southern
Cross University. Cecile’s time studying in the Northern Rivers left a lasting impression on her and provided a stimulating environment that helped shape her career.

“The arts and culture scene there is huge, stretching from Murwillumbah all the way down to Yamba. I really enjoyed my time there and it was a lovely place to study”
