Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research), Division of Research

From mangrove restoration and carbon capture to regional economic development and improving the well being of our children and young people, Southern Cross University (SCU) continues to develop innovative research.

We work closely with our industry partners, government and the community sector, providing valuable contributions across a range of discipline areas.

National research issues are high on the agenda for our University with a particular focus on the Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) and Collaborative Research Network (CRN) programs.

We have recently developed and implemented a new framework for our research centres. This framework, including two Special Research Centres, seven Research Centres and several Research Clusters, allows for the strategic and sustainable growth of our research expertise and sets a solid foundation for extending our research capacity over the coming years.
