Welcome to the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts (FBLA) monthly Seminar Series.
This seminar will be delivered by Dr Sarah Kendall.
Seminar overview
What can academics learn from law reform processes?
Law reform commissions, institutes, agencies and other bodies play an important role in the process of improving the law in significant ways. To do so, law reform bodies rely heavily on academic research and engagement with stakeholders, including academics. This seminar will consider what academics can learn from the process of law reform. Using examples from law reform inquiries, it will explore how to communicate research to shape policy and reform outcomes, and maximise engagement beyond academia.
