Scholarship Declaration

The University is requesting this information from you so that we can assess your application for a scholarship.

For the same purpose, the University may provide this information about you to any person or organisation involved in the scholarship selection process including scholarship providers (see www.scu.edu.au/scholarships). With your permission, the University would also like to provide details of your name, course preferences and offers to your high school or college. If you do not want your details provided to your high school or college you must notify the Director, Student Administration Services, in writing by 20 December 2021. The University may also use the information in your application for research purposes. If the University uses your information in this way, it will ensure that your information is de-identified.

You consent to the University independently verifying the information you provide.

You authorise the University to obtain available official records from any educational institution attended by you.

When storing your personal information electronically, the University may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients by virtue of its cloud computing arrangements. The University’s ‘cloud’ servers are located in Hong Kong, Singapore and Ireland and the University is reasonably satisfied that these countries have similar privacy protections to those afforded under Australian law.

The University will not disclose your personal information to anybody else unless we are required to do so by law — for example if the information is needed in an emergency or for law enforcement purposes.

Providing the University with the requested information is not required by law. However if you choose not to provide the University with the requested information, the University will not be able to process your application for a scholarship.

By signing this declaration you understand and acknowledge that the University has the right to vary or cancel an application and/or Scholarship and/or enrolment made on the basis of what the University determines to be untrue or incomplete information from any source or on the basis of an error by the relevant parties or organisations.
