Services

I am studying elsewhere: can I join SCU Library and what does membership entitle me to?

  • You can register for reciprocal membership by providing Photo ID (preferably your student ID card) and proof of enrolment or employment from your home institution.
  • Processing your registration may take up to 48 hours and privileges vary between campuses.
  • View reciprocal member's borrowing privileges.
  • Privileges are valid until 28th February of the following year, and a new application is needed each year.

Does this service cost anything?

  • No, reciprocal membership of Southern Cross University Library is free.

Is membership available to individual members of the community?

  • Yes, Associate membership is available for an annual registration fee of $150 + 10% GST.

Will I be able to access the Internet in the Library?

  • Use of Library workstations is not guaranteed.
  • Guest access may be provided at the discretion of the Information Desk staff and must be for the purpose of research and study.
  • Access is subject to the availability of workstations.
