The Future Leaders Workshop is a full-day event facilitated by Lachie Smart, a record-breaking pilot and leadership development speaker who became the youngest person to fly solo around the world in 2016. Drawing from his experiences as a solo circumnavigator and CEO in the MedTech industry, this workshop helps emerging leaders establish well-founded goals, strategies to achieve them, and methods to navigate through adversity.

The Future Leaders Event is a free, full-day workshop designed to empower high school students with essential leadership skills and strategies. Facilitated by Lachie Smart, a world-record-breaking pilot and leadership expert, the event focuses on helping students identify their values, set purpose-driven goals, build effective plans, and develop resilience to overcome challenges.
With engaging content, practical activities, and a supportive environment, the event aims to inspire students to unlock their potential, lead with confidence, and make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
This workshop is tailored for Year 11 and 12 senior students; specifically designed for student representatives, aspiring leaders and students seeking to enhance their confidence, resilience and leadership skills.
Schools can register for the Future Leaders Workshop by completing the online registration form on the Future Leaders campus pages.
During registration, staff will be asked to nominate their preferred campus and the number of students attending. Once submitted, a confirmation email with further information and event details will be provided.
The Future Leaders Workshop includes interactive leadership workshops, team-building activities, group discussions and practical challenges designed to develop confidence, resilience and leadership skills.
Participants will gain practical strategies they can apply in their school and community leadership roles while exploring future study opportunities. The workshop is provided free of charge to participating schools and students.
