The Future Leaders Workshop is a full-day event facilitated by Lachie Smart, a record-breaking pilot and leadership development speaker who became the youngest person to fly solo around the world in 2016. Drawing from his experiences as a solo circumnavigator and CEO in the MedTech industry, this workshop helps emerging leaders establish well-founded goals, strategies to achieve them, and methods to navigate through adversity.

The Future Leaders Event is a free, full-day workshop designed to empower high school students with essential leadership skills and strategies. Facilitated by Lachie Smart, a world-record-breaking pilot and leadership expert, the event focuses on helping students identify their values, set purpose-driven goals, build effective plans, and develop resilience to overcome challenges.
With engaging content, practical activities, and a supportive environment, the event aims to inspire students to unlock their potential, lead with confidence, and make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
This workshop is tailored for Year 11 and 12 senior students; specifically student representatives, aspiring school leaders and anyone wanting to enhance their confidence and resilience in leadership.
School staff can register online through our university's event page by filling out the registration form, indicating the number of students attending from your school and selecting the desired campus. A confirmation email with further details will be sent.
This FREE event includes a catered morning tea and lunch, ensuring participants are well-supported throughout the day. We aim to provide an enriching experience for all students without financial barriers, allowing them to focus on building leadership skills, connecting with peers, and enjoying the workshop’s activities.
