Frequently asked questions
The Masterclass event is a free university experience for Year 11 and 12 students that allows them to explore study areas through hands-on workshops and campus activities. Students choose two workshop sessions, interact with university academics and current students, and experience life on campus before applying to university.
To register for the Masterclass event, your school must complete the online registration process on the Southern Cross University Masterclass webpage. A school representative submits the registration on behalf of attending students and teachers. Once registration is received, Southern Cross University will provide information about selecting workshop preferences.
If your preferred Masterclass session is full, you can select another workshop from the available options. Students nominate more than one workshop preference, which helps ensure they can still participate in areas of interest even if a session reaches capacity.
You should bring a notebook, a pen, and any materials you need to take notes during the day. As catering is not provided, students should also bring a packed lunch or money to purchase food and drinks on campus.
No, attendance at the Masterclass event is free. Southern Cross University provides the event at no cost so students can explore study options and university life without financial barriers.
