COVID-19 might have delayed your graduation ceremony, but it doesn’t have to delay your career plans.
Whether you’re interested in the defence forces, banking, public service, teaching, a legal career, engineering or working in nursing, speech pathology, occupational therapy or more, thanks to technology it’s easier than ever to find out what your job options could be when you graduate.
This Thursday 23 April, from 11am to 1pm, the University is hosting a Virtual Careers Fair with more than 25 employers who are currently recruiting for hundreds of graduate roles, most of which will start in 2021.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from graduate recruiters who can give you an idea of what they are looking for and how you can improve your applications,” said Leanne Baker, Manager of Careers and Employability at Southern Cross.
“They’ll be talking about graduate programs both nationally and internationally, internship opportunities, as well as the skills and experiences you’ll need. It’s a great chance for all students, from first year to those about to graduate, to get ahead of the game.”
The Virtual Careers Fair will have general and specialist sessions with the opportunity to network with recruiters and ask questions in real time.
