Benefits to students
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) prepares you for the workforce and many students have obtained full-time employment after graduation due to experience and contacts gained during their WIL placement. A structured and supervised WIL placement:
- Provides you with workplace settings in which to test your skills and interests.
- Puts you into contact with professionals, industry organisations and potential employers
- Improves your job application skills.
Research has shown that students who complete work-integrated learning have an advantage in the workforce for two to three years.
