Special Studies Program
Special Studies Program provides eligible academic staff with release from normal duties and access to financial assistance in order to enhance their research productivity, teaching practice, professional practice, artistic development and/or qualifications.

COVID-19 Travel Considerations
Applications will be considered in line with the current travel advise and COVID-19 travel restrictions. Further information is available from SCU Travel Services.
Key documentation
As part of the Special Studies Program process, reports are received from the Research Office on research outputs and provided to the Committee. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Research Office to review their research outputs and provide updates as needed as early as possible in the process.
