Designing and Demonstrating Advanced Student Learning
TEQSA accreditation requires institutions to evidence that the students engage with and achieve advanced knowledge and inquiry.
This workshop is targeted at ADEs, Course Coordinators, Unit Assessors, and Unit writers (though all academics are welcome).
In this workshop we unpack what ‘advanced’ means and how this is demonstrated.
Using this as a framework, we then look to assess and modify a unit’s outcomes, content, and learning activities to align with the expectations.
Outcomes from this workshop are an understanding of how advanced learning and inquiry is characterised, the capacity to assess the demonstration at a unit level, and the means to address evident gaps in these profiles.
By participating, you will actively develop your skills in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles relevant to the discipline, their role, modes of delivery and the needs of particular student cohorts (Higher EducationStandards Framework, 2021, s3.2.3)
This is a face-to-face interactive workshop held on the Gold Coast campus.
A light morning tea is provided, and we will break for lunch (bring your own or purchase on campus)
