Fees

Domestic students

When studying at Australian universities all students are required to pay a tuition fee for each unit of study. Depending on the situation and eligibility, many students will have these fees subsidised using the HECS-HELP scheme. To be eligible students must meet the Government's eligibility requirements.

A smaller portion of students, mostly postgraduate students and a small number of undergraduate students pay the full tuition fee for each unit of study.

Student Services and Amenities Fee

An annual Student Services and Amenities Fee has been introduced by the Commonwealth Government, which was implemented by Southern Cross University from Session 2, 2012. These funds are used to maintain and improve specific student support services and amenities which are non-academic and non-political.
