Coffs Harbour campus
Set on 140 hectares of rolling hills and bushland and in close proximity to beaches and the city centre, the Coffs Harbour campus provides a friendly learning environment and contemporary teaching facilities. The University is part of an education precinct – co-located with North Coast TAFE (a technical and further education facility) and a senior high school.
The gathering space in the heart of the campus is ideal for student activities and to relax with friends. There are eateries and cafés, Co-op bookshop, library and Student Services – the one-stop shop for student support and enquiries.
The recreation hall and fitness centre provide a venue for a variety of training and sporting activities.
The University’s discipline-specific facilities include labs for anatomy, physiology, chemistry and psychology. The movement lab enables students to learn and conduct tests relating to exercise physiology, biomechanics and neuroscience. There is a midwifery birth suite and nursing labs with clinical and simulation equipment, and specialised teaching spaces for education students. Marine science students study at the University’s National Marine Science Centre at Charlesworth Bay. It is located adjacent to the Solitary Islands Marine Park which enables students, academic and professional researchers to excel in the study of marine science and management.
The variety of resorts, hotels and tourist attractions in the local area provide opportunities for tourisms students to do internships. Coffs Harbour city is a well-serviced with the regions beautiful beaches and lush coastal hinterland are popular destinations.
The Coffs Harbour Technology Park aims to provide an environment which captures the business synergies resulting from the collocation of Information and Communication (ICT) based industry, technology business incubation facilities and higher education and vocational training institutions.
