Students walking through campus

There are many pathways to university, high school is just one.

At Southern Cross University, we know there’s no single route to success. Whether you’re finishing school, returning to study, or exploring new career horizons, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

  • Preparing for Success Program (PSP) allows you to ease back into study with a three-month, fee-free program designed for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
  • English Language Programs (EAP) is an academic unit that prepares you to study at Southern Cross University. It builds on existing English language skills and academic and digital literacy practices.
  • Diploma pathways let you sample different fields so you can explore your next career. You can acquire practical, industry-relevant knowledge and earn up to a year's credit towards a bachelor degree.

Nathan's transforming moment

Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours student Nathan says receiving his first High Distinction during a pathway course motivated him to continue to succeed in his studies.

I got my first grade at Uni and I just laughed out loud.
It it wasn't just a pass, I actually got a  High Distinction. And I'd always done terrible at school.
I did uh the PSP course at SCU which gave me like the foundations of what you need to be able to study at Uni and um I didn't  fail that, got good grades so I was like hey we'll keep going.
Studied a Bachelor in Psych, did alright so I kept going. And uh got into Honours and now I'm writing a thesis.
Getting that first grade was the first time that I felt like I can actually do this and it has led um me to to  get to where I am now and I'm really grateful of it.
