EAL LIMS report tools - CSV conversion examples
EAL has recently implemented a LIMS as part of our journey to become more efficient, increase our data security and integrity and provide improved services to our customers. As part of this upgrade, the format of our reports has been standardised for all customers.
To help with the transition, Excel-based conversion tools are available for download. These tools assist in converting CSV files to a format similar to what was previously received.
As EAL continues to improve its LIMS, there may be future updates to the format of CSV file reports sent to customers. If significant changes occur, new versions of our conversion tool examples will be published here.
Customers who download and use these tools do so at their own risk. Customers are responsible for ensuring they use the latest version applicable to their report. EAL makes no warranties regarding their accuracy, reliability, or suitability for any purpose. Customers must validate and verify any converted data before use. EAL accepts no liability for errors, inaccuracies, or any resulting consequences.
The following example tools can be used for converting RA, NT and AS4454 reports:

EAL LIMS updates
To continuously improve our LIMS and based on customer feedback, we have updated the CSV file format to address the following issues:
Update to EAL CSV report format as of 18/02/2025
For requests with more than 62 samples, subsequent samples are wrapped to a new row instead of continuing across the page.
The CSV generation process was updated - there has been no change to the CSV format.
Update to EAL CSV report format as of 19/12/2024
When a request includes multiple samples with different pack codes but the same data sets, the data sets appear on different rows in the CSV file.
Changes to the CSV format include:
- Parameters now appear on the same row, regardless of the grouped test method.
- The order of columns has been adjusted to accommodate this change.
The order of columns in the CSV as of 19/12/2024 is:
- Column A: Parameter
- Column B: Unit
- Column C: Method Reference
- Column D: LOR
- Column E onwards: Sample Data
