Southern Cross University International Merit Scholarship
The SCU International Merit Scholarship supports international students commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in 2025. This scholarship is available for those studying at the Gold Coast, Lismore, or Coffs Harbour campuses, providing an opportunity for students to pursue their academic goals at Southern Cross University.
$6000 per year (8 units per year)

$6,000 maximum fee reduction per year for the duration of your program

Application process
Students wishing to apply for the SCU International Merit Scholarship are required to satisfy the following criteria:
- Applied to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree commencing in 2025 at the Gold Coast, Lismore, or Coffs Harbour campus, or online for international students on a non-student visa. Please note, international students, this scholarship is only applicable to students paying international fees and does not include programs offered through SCU Ventures, The Hotel School, or Keypath Education.
- Students must meet the admission entry requirements of the program they have applied for. Assessment of eligibility for this scholarship will be undertaken by the Southern Cross admissions team on application to Southern Cross University.
- Students must meet the attendance requirements of their program and visa conditions to remain eligible for the scholarship.
- To maintain scholarship eligibility, students must pass all the requirements for all enrolled units in each Term. Students must continue to meet all other requirements of the program. Students who complete their first year (8 units) with a GPA of 5.5 or above are eligible for an increased scholarship amount of $8,000. This eligibility is reassessed annually.
- Students who are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens are not eligible to apply.
Students must meet all eligibility criteria, including achieving a minimum GPA or score, to be considered for the offer of the SCU International Merit Scholarship. Scholarship offers are subject to availability.
