Unit description
Recognises students' learning through the completion of a vocational qualification equivalent to either the TAFE (or other recognised VET provider) Certificate III in Design Fundamentals(Graphic Design) or a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Multimedia) including the completion of essential modules or equivalents as outlined by the School of Education.
Unit content
Students completing the Certificate III Design Fundamentals (Graphics Design) should note the following required competenciesRequired modules or equivalents
1. Explore the use of colour
2. Explore and apply the creative design process to 2D forms
3. Source and apply design industry knowledge
4. Participate in WHS processes
5. Produce drawings to represent and communicate ideas
6. Explore and apply the creative design process to 3D forms
7. Produce technical drawings.
8. Source and apply information on the history and theory of design
9. Create digital 3D models
10. Use typography techniques
11. Follow a design process
12. Produce computer aided drawings
13. Experiment with technique to produce calligraphy
Students completing the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Multimedia) should note the following required modules:
