Unit description
Unit content
This is the second unit of a pair of units (FORS6002, and this unit FORS6003), in which students work on a forestry management issue or research topic. Students select a suitable project, which they complete under the one-on-one supervision of an academic supervisor. In this second unit, students undertake the project as described in the project proposal submitted in the first unit. They present the results of their project in a formal report submitted at the end of the session. These two units prepare students for the transition into professional life.
The Minor Thesis units require students to work on an individual topic of their choosing, under the individual supervision of one academic. There is, therefore, no syllabus. The specific content of the student’s work will be discussed with the supervisor, and will be defined in the project proposal submitted as part of the assessment in FORS6002.
