Unit description

Develops time management and academic skills relevant to the successful completion of assignments and projects in Indigenous Knowledge (IK). Referencing, citation and writing skills will be developed through learning-based modules. Issues of academic conduct and plagiarism will be discussed.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1develop and apply independent learning and self-management strategies to the study of Indigenous Knowledge
2identify and use different forms of communication relevant to IK studies
3demonstrate an understanding of principles of academic integrity to individual and collaborative indigenous and non-indigenous work.
