Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
analyse and synthesise contemporary academic literature on English curriculum and pedagogy for the Primary Years (F/K–6)
apply knowledge of the structure, content and requirements of the Australian Curriculum F–6 English and NSW K–6 English Syllabuses
plan and justify lessons for teaching and assessing English across the modes of Speaking and Listening, Reading and Viewing, and Writing and Representing
develop and design teaching resources and learning activities for English across Speaking and Listening, Reading and Viewing, incorporating digital tools and relevant curriculum priorities
