Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
design and justify an English unit of work that aligns curriculum, assessment and differentiated teaching strategies to progress student learning across reading, writing, speaking and listening
design and justify formative and summative English assessment tasks and evaluative criteria that support assessment for, as, and of learning
apply and evaluate differentiated teaching strategies to address diverse learner needs within a given scenario
critically analyse the potential effectiveness of an English unit of work, with reference to curriculum alignment and learner diversity
