Unit Snapshot

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

evaluate residential construction systems, materials, and technologies to develop integrated solutions that meet performance, sustainability, and regulatory standards.

critically analyse design documentation, site constraints, and construction sequencing to optimise project delivery and resource efficiency in residential contexts.

apply advanced construction management principles to residential projects, including procurement, scheduling, cost control, stakeholder coordination, and work health and safety considerations.

justify residential construction strategies that address compliance, risk, and ethical considerations across diverse project environments.
