Unit Snapshot

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

interpret and apply standard forms of construction contracts to administer obligations, variations, and performance requirements in project scenarios.

critically evaluate dispute resolution mechanisms to manage contractual conflict ethically and strategically.

analyse and manage contract documentation, communication protocols, and stakeholder relationships to help ensure compliance and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.

design and justify contract administration strategies that integrate legal frameworks, procurement models, and governance principles across diverse building construction environments.
