Unit description

This unit introduces the National Quality Framework as a system for regulating and guiding continual improvement in early childhood education and care in Australia. Students will explore how high-quality early childhood practice supports the flourishing of children and families through a commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing. Students will engage with contemporary frameworks, legislation, and professional standards that guide ethical and safe practice in early childhood settings. Drawing on holistic and relational perspectives, students will develop the skills to identify risks, respond to health and safety issues, and implement strategies that promote resilience, belonging, and lifelong wellbeing.
