Enrolment information

This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) that involves placement in a school setting. Students MUST enrol in this unit by the date specified by the Professional Experience Team to ensure that a placement can be arranged. Prior to attending, students must meet mandatory fit to practice obligations and provide evidence of compliance with all pre-placement requirements. Failure to comply by the deadline will result in the cancellation of your WIL and you will not be permitted to continue in the unit. Participation and attendance at the residential, is compulsory. Enrolment restriction

Students to submit a Unit Approval request via MyEnrolment. Students must have satisfactorily completed both components of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE).

Unit description

This unit aims to provide students with the opportunity to practise and develop their learning and teaching in a professional environment. Before the placement, students undertake an orientation to prepare for the expectations and requirements of the professional environment. During placement, students record and reflect on their experiences as informed by relevant course content, professional standards, and principles.
