Recognition of Academic Excellence (RAE) scheme

Through this scheme, Southern Cross University annually acknowledges high academic achievement.

Eligible students will receive their Recognition of Academic Excellence based on the following criteria:

  • Completion of at least 48 credit points of graded units (four single-weighted units or equivalent) during the academic year in the same course, not including advanced standing; and
  • Achieve an annual grade point average (GPA) over the academic year of greater than 6 (>6.0); and
  • Enrolled in either the Preparing for Success at SCU Program, or any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  • Acknowledgement of this recognition will be included on the student’s Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS). This scheme was introduced from the 2014 academic year onward.

Eligible students are identified after Term 1, Term 3 and again after Term 5 each year. Students can expect to receive their Recognition of Academic Excellence letter in January, May or in September each teaching year.
